～第一弾（Official～～ Log1）が26話の各話解説およびアニメ制作資料が中心であるのに対し、Log2はシリーズ構成、作品テーマ、シナリオ（ドラマ）など、「物語とテーマ」を中心に掘り下げる試みがされている。本の内容はシリーズの縦軸となる「笑い男事件」のダイジェスト解説、シリーズ構成資料、脚本インタビュー（5人！）、監督のロングインタビュー、「事件」の元ネタである実際の～～劇場型犯罪や疑獄事件は、事件当時の新聞の号外が解説されている。Log1で意表を突いたスタパ斉藤の連載も第２弾が掲載。付属のDVDは約1時間強で、映像版の「笑い男編」ハイライト（副音声で監督+演出陣の座談会が聞ける）、メインキャラクターの声優5人の座談会が収録されている。とかく「絵」の方が話題となるアニメだが、本書（DVD?）は珍しく、「ドラマ～～」や「テーマ」部分の話題が充実しているのが最大の特徴。全話コンプリートした人にはオススメです。～
正直、Official Log 1同様、ブックレットの方がメインだと言える。これを買うのは本編全話見てる人だと思うので。攻殻ファンならコレクターズアイテムとして買っても損はないが、その程度の代物です。1を買って、もし失敗したと感じているのならあえて買う必要は無いかも。
